Hidden Roads Study – February, 18 2025
Since the last update we have numerous new secret roads in ATS 1 .58 I was thinking about updating the guide for America – I found already 10 new hidden roads and still in progress. But I believe soon we will see also new Illinois DLC so can expect new secrets on that new state. Unfortunately youtube rank and promote older videos first and below guides have a very bad discoverability and low views. So I don’t want to spent a lot of time for guide with 700 views.
Below you find all hidden roads in ATS and ETS2 found in version 1.57.

I’m sharing found hidden secret roads in both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 periodically since 2022 when this feature been released on ETS2 and ATS 1.44. But maybe right now it is time to freeze the series and let others do this job.

This guide is little outdated if you switched to 1.58, where there are extra roads added but it is still actual and can be used to start with kind of 96%. And for 1.57 with Pelican State (Louisiana) here is whole 100% profile and source file.
Obviously you need all map DLC and as always I would like to remind you to back up before doing anything with your profiles.

ATS 1.58 Secret Roads of Route 66 Rework
I continue to discover reworked map of Route 66 in ATS 1.58 and found already 10 hidden markable roads. Not sure that I will update Big guide until Illinois DLC this spring. Latest videos attract less attention and have very low views.

After the release of ETS2 1.58 my guide is still actual so you will get 100% explored road in 1.58 as well as in ETS2 1.57. New ATS secret roads and Route 66 Rework
As I mentioned before after release of open beta for 1.58 we have about 4% of undiscovered roads – on my side it was 96,29% opened just after the update. It is the result of massive Rout 66 Rework and other map enhancements. But SCS not only did this beautiful rework but also added new easter eggs and hidden roads, so count of markable but secret roads is growing. below you can see couple videos with hidden paths in Arizona and Nevada.

Hidden Roads Study (Final in 1.57) – January, 27 2025
Looks like all hidden roads in ATS and ETS2 found at least for now on game version 1.57, so this digest will be probably appear later this year when I have something to tease and discover.

On the last digest I mentioned that Hidden Roads Study series will likely be put on hold or possibly discontinued and count of views of latest videos convince me to freeze it. Nevertheless below you can find the most comprehensive hidden roads guide for ATS and ETS2 for this moment. I’m not gonna transform to shorts, clickbait and fake speculations just for views or extra couple bucks.

All Hidden Secret Roads in ETS2 1.57
The guide contains about 110 hidden roads in 22 countries and 10 map DLC on Euro Truck Simulator 2. It is actual for February 2026, on ETS2 1.57. Some roads are periodically disappear during map reworks and some new are being added in new game versions.
Mostly I added marked roads but also some easter eggs are available.
I tried to avoid spoilers, mark only locations and removed hidden roads footages but if you prefer to discover all hidden roads and secrets yourself better to skip the video

All Hidden Roads in Nordic Horizons and Scandinavia Reworks on ETS2 1.57

Hidden Roads Study – January, 15 2025
I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I’ve finished discovering all the new hidden roads in ETS2, including the refreshed Scandinavia and Nordic Horizon DLC content. We now have an impressive total of 109 secret roads across Europe! There will be two videos covering this: one featuring Nordic and Scandinavia footage, and another recap showing all ETS2 hidden road locations on the map. You can see the complete list of cities with hidden paths here: https://trucksim.top/y9t6, though the video guides will take some time to produce.
The bad news is that these videos haven’t been getting much traction. This isn’t your fault—it’s simply how YouTube’s algorithm promotes content. Unfortunately, this creates a challenge: these videos require significantly more time to create than they generate in visibility and engagement. Because of this, the Hidden Roads Study series will likely be put on hold or possibly discontinued. I’ll be focusing more on other types of guides and spending time enjoying the games themselves.
As for ATS, things are looking good! I’ve found 245 hidden roads so far. While the guide has only gotten around 400 views over the last 3 weeks, it’s still the most comprehensive hidden roads guide for American Truck Simulator available on YouTube.
