Cruising Nordic Horizons Event is still live until February, 1
The World of Trucks event – Cruising Nordic Horizons started with new DLC for ETS2 and if you’re still not joining – it is the chance to discover nice cities, roads and landscapes of Northern Europe and get some in-game perks like truck skin or cabin decorations. Rules of the event is pretty clear if you ever attended to SCS events – bring cargo with External contracts to or from cities of the new DLC.

Me personally already finished my goals. And Community goals reached so as soon as you finish it all the prizes will be open. But you have time until February 1st of 2026.

New ATS 1.57 map combo is coming
While the latest American map combo is still actual, I do a minor update for it. Not so many news but some interesting stuff added/removed/fixed. Initially it will be available today on patreon page and probably tomorrow or later on Youtube. As always load order and links to mods.
Until you wait please see current setup and don’t forget to watch Beginners Guide if you have no much experience.

Cruising Louisiana event is still goes on
As always with the new DLC for American Truck Simulator we get World of Trucks event and this time it’s #CruisingLouisiana – typical but still attractive since we can discover new state and get another trophy on ours Wotr page.

Rules and rewards are pretty equal as for other “Cruising” events so if if you played it once just apply to the new names or read details in SCS Blog.

Hidden Roads Study – January, 15 2025
I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I’ve finished discovering all the new hidden roads in ETS2, including the refreshed Scandinavia and Nordic Horizon DLC content. We now have an impressive total of 109 secret roads across Europe! There will be two videos covering this: one featuring Nordic and Scandinavia footage, and another recap showing all ETS2 hidden road locations on the map. You can see the complete list of cities with hidden paths here: https://trucksim.top/y9t6, though the video guides will take some time to produce.
The bad news is that these videos haven’t been getting much traction. This isn’t your fault—it’s simply how YouTube’s algorithm promotes content. Unfortunately, this creates a challenge: these videos require significantly more time to create than they generate in visibility and engagement. Because of this, the Hidden Roads Study series will likely be put on hold or possibly discontinued. I’ll be focusing more on other types of guides and spending time enjoying the games themselves.
As for ATS, things are looking good! I’ve found 245 hidden roads so far. While the guide has only gotten around 400 views over the last 3 weeks, it’s still the most comprehensive hidden roads guide for American Truck Simulator available on YouTube.
I’m sharing found hidden secret roads in both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 periodically since 2022 when this feature been released on ETS2 and ATS 1.44. Actual spreadsheet list of cities with hidden roads for Europe and America is updating periodically here https://trucksim.top/y9t6. It is probably won’t help you with exact secrets locations but you can check if you missed any.
ETS2 (updated 04.25.2025, actual on 1.57 without Scandinavia Refresh and Nordic Horizon DLC, 80 roads so far)

ATS (updated 12.26.2025, actual on 1.57 with Louisiana DLC, 245 roads so far)

Unfortunately, YouTube search results often prioritize older videos, so even though I’m updating descriptions, outdated guides still rank higher in search results. Please always check if a more recent and updated guide is available.
Supporting Trucksim: Help Keep This Resource Free for Everyone
Hello everyone,
I wanted to have an honest conversation with you about Trucksim and its future.
What This Project Is
For over 5 years, I’ve been creating detailed map combo tutorials, hidden road guides, and 100% discovered profiles for both ETS2 and ATS. Every major game update, every DLC release, every map mod version – I’m there documenting it, testing combinations, and making sure you have working setups.
The blog (trucksim.top) and YouTube channel exist because I genuinely love this community and these games. But here’s the reality: this is a hobby that takes significant time and effort.
The Real Numbers
Currently, the YouTube channel generates about $40-50 per month from ads. To put that in perspective:
- Each map combo tutorial takes 6-10 hours (testing, recording, editing, writing)
- 100% map discovery guides take 50-60 hours of gameplay per version
- Hidden roads compilations require meticulous exploration and documentation
- The blog requires constant updates, hosting, and maintenance
I earn more in a couple hours at my regular job than the channel generates in a month. This has always been about community contribution, not income.
Why I’m Setting Up Patreon
I want to keep creating these guides. The community clearly finds them valuable – you watch them, use the profiles, and follow the tutorials. But as the games grow more complex (70+ map combos, 245 hidden roads just in ATS, massive map expansions), the time commitment keeps increasing.
Patreon isn’t about getting rich. It’s about making this sustainable as a hobby without feeling like I’m working for free.
What You Get
Free Content (Always):
- All YouTube tutorials remain free
- All blog guides remain free
- All profiles and save files remain free
- Nothing changes for people who can’t or don’t want to support
For Patreon Supporters:
- Early access to new map combos (1-3 days before public release)
- Early access to discovered profiles
- Behind-the-scenes content about the creation process
- Input on which content to prioritize next
- My genuine gratitude for keeping this sustainable
Tiers
$3/month – Coffee Supporter
- Early access to all guides and profiles
- Patron-only updates
$10/month – Elite Supporter
- Everything above
- Vote on upcoming content
- Special thanks in video descriptions
- Custom map combo consultation (within reason)
The Bottom Line
If 50 people support at $3/month, that’s $150 – roughly what it costs me in time to maintain this project monthly at a minimum wage equivalent. If 100 people support at $3/month, I can justify dedicating more regular time to this instead of feeling guilty about not working on paid projects.
If you’ve ever:
- Saved hours using one of my profiles
- Successfully set up a complex map combo thanks to a tutorial
- Found all the hidden roads using my guides
- Appreciated having free, detailed documentation
…and you can afford $3-10/month, please consider supporting.
If you can’t afford it – that’s completely fine. Everything stays free. I mean that sincerely.
What Happens If Support Doesn’t Come?
Honest answer: I’ll keep making content, but less frequently. I’ll focus only on major updates (new DLCs, significant map releases) instead of every minor version. The quality won’t drop, but the quantity will.
Thank You
Whether you support financially or just watch/read – thank you for being part of this community. Truck sim modding is a niche, but it’s a passionate one, and I’m proud to contribute to it.
Let’s keep this truck rolling (sorry, had to).
