Map exploration takes a lot of time, and unfortunately my free time is quite limited these days. While some dedicated players have already discovered every corner of the latest American Truck Simulator DLC, I’m currently sitting at around 98% completion and still enjoying Illinois, which has quickly become one of my favorite ATS map expansions to date. Because of that, the next ATS 100% Discovery digest will most likely arrive with version 1.60 or later.
On the Euro Truck Simulator 2 side, however, the situation is much better. We have reached 100% map discovery across all of Europe, including the recently reworked Benelux region, which looks absolutely fantastic.
Speaking of map discovery, I should also mention ProMods roads. After a long journey, the entire map has finally been fully explored. I’ve included a video below. It’s more of a podcast-style discussion than a traditional guide, but I know there are plenty of fellow map exploration enthusiasts who will enjoy it.

Game version 1.59 have the short lifecycle – it has been released in May and now in the beginning of June have open betas 1.60 for both games. So we only started combining map mods and soon most of them will be outdated. I also started a little later with map combo setups and on cadence of 1.59 have only 3 map combo guides (2 European and 1 American). Anyway I’m not rushing out a combo setup, I will release only those that I personally enjoy and would actually use myself.

Lately I’ve also updated Beginner’s Guide which help new comers to dive to combos world. Also since it was drastic changes in game engine in 1.59 I strongly recommend watching it everyone who did not touch configurations for a while. It will save you time, prevent recurring issues, and help you create a stable and enjoyable setup from the start.

[April 2026] 98% on Promods 2.81 (1.58)

Quick reminder: for a long time I’m trying to discover Promods for 100% but unfortunately peak score I had is 99.99% and after each map mod update and new SCS expansions, these numbers are decreasing. For instance – I had 99.99% on Promods 2.77 but when Promods 2.80 for ETS 2 1.57 released I got only 88.70%. 2.80 was a big update and brought integration with Nordic Horizon DLC and Scandinavia refresh and new content to the mod.

I combined it with discovered NH DLC areas from different profile (which is 100%) and got 97.53%. After that I’ve hit the road on Promods areas which became undiscovered. So now it is roughly 98% and the journey is in progress. But very soon with ETS2 1.59 we will probably get the new Promods 2.82 and if Benelux rework will be the part of this update we have to wait for merge of this European region to Promods.
Below you can grab my progress strings for 2.78 and get those 97% and wait for bigger numbers or discover those 3% on your side in Promods 2.81 (I hope you will reach 100%).

Since we already have news and signals that new game version 1.59 is around the corner below big versions of map combo can be final, unless something interesting happens on ETS2 1.58. I started later with map combo setups but now we are good in Europe and America with big and giga combinations. I’m not rushing out a combo setup just to be first. I’m not interested in clickbait or quick tricks to gain views. Instead, I will release a combination setup that I personally enjoy and would actually use myself — even if that means it comes out later and don’t updates every day.

There are already well-established rules and best practices that help avoid conflicts and common mistakes I’ve covered in Beginner’s Guide, which I strongly recommend watching before building or updating your map combo. It will save you time, prevent recurring issues, and help you create a stable and enjoyable setup from the start.
