Guide How to Download and Setup Promods 2.77
New Promods 2.77 is mostly compatibility release and it doesn’t friendly to new map DLC Nordic Horizons, overlap it and even if you purchased it you will see Promods content instead of vanilla. But if you are ready for this trade off or still have no Nordic Expansion you can enjoy new version on the latest ETS2 1.57. In the guide below as always you will find step by step instruction, but please watch carefully and don’t ask about archives on the Youtube.

We will get new DLC Nordic Horizons for ETS2 on November 27th. This new big DLC will expand new roads in Nordic Countries – Sweden, Norway and Finland.

Hidden Roads Study – November, 24 2025
As you know I’m sharing found hidden secret roads in both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 periodically. Latest available guides with hidden roads is still actual but we have updates in ETS2 1.57 on refreshed Scandinavia, where I found at least 4 roads already, and will be more on Nordic Horizon DLC soon. In ATS, I assume, we will see also brand new secret paths with Louisiana DLC which will be released on December, 4. So for now I will not update guides until all these hidden roads will be discovered. I hope it will happen in 2025 but not sure because currently I have not enough time in the games.
Actual list of cities with hidden roads for Europe and America will be updated periodically here https://trucksim.top/y9t6. It is probably won’t help you with exact secrets locations but you can check if you missed any.

Map Combination Beginners Guide and Secrets for ATS & ETS2 1.56
Map Combos for SCS trucking games are not an easy for newcomers. So you can find lot of ready setups for actual version, including here on Trucksim, but before start better to avoid obvious mistakes. In this guide I’m explaining how to build map combo for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) or American Truck Simulator (ATS), from how to download and combine maps, to tricks how to avoid crashes. I will cover the basics for beginners. Guide made in 2024 but is still actual in November 2025 on game versions 1.56 and latest DLCs

How to Merge Map Progress in Profiles for ETS2 and ATS – 2025 Guide
New game versions updates are here so we will also see the mods updates and it is perfect time to make you perfect profile.
In this guide I explain how to merge several profiles map discovery progress on example of merging vanilla 100% and Roextended 89% profiles on ETS2 1.53. You can try this scheme on 1.57 and in both ETS2 and ATS. Below you can find link to text version, tools and also ready strings used in this video (updated to 1.56).
Guide:
1. Reason
Merge discovered items in two profiles let you have updated visited roads in the end even if you exploring maps on different profiles. Also when the new version of the game is being released you can again discover as much as possible and then merge with your old combined profile.
2. Preparations and tools
Download and install software we plan to use – TS SE Tool, Notepad++, make sure that you have mods in mod folder if you plan to merge mod’s profile, make sure that Steam cloud disable for all profiles which will be changed, check config file if you can decrypt game files (g_save_format 2) and can use console (uset g_developer 1, uset g_console 1) and so on.
3. Backup
Backup all the profiles to the separate drive before doing any manipulations.
4. Profiles job
Enter to the profiles you wish to merge and save game to locate desired profiles by timestamp. You should carefully pick correct profiles. Decrypt profiles one by one and open game.sii in each mergeable profile and copy all discovered items to new text file (in this file we will merge them). We can merge 2 or more profiles but don’t forget that it should be from the same version of the game.
5. Merge (most important part)
When all discovered items strings pasted to the text file we have to change the order of numbers – the way as game read each string. Start from removing left part of the string (discovered_items []: ) with Notepad ++ command Find and Replace (Ctrl+C). On the Find what enter discovered_items \[\d+\]: and keep blank on Replace with (we have to remove them). Do not forget check Regular Expression in Search Mode. Replace all and you will get list of numbers. On this step you can also remove duplicates. Now we have to return discovered_items []: text with empty brackets. Alt+C and choose Text to insert and place there discovered_items []: and push ok. On the next step we have to add numbers to the brackets with correct order from 0. Select all in bracket spots (Choose first one and with Alt+Shift select last one) and again Alt+C and choose Number to insert – Initial should be 0, increased by 1, format decimal. Push ok and wait. If you have lot of string it can take a while. When all numbers added to brackets we can remove redundant spaces. Now we can copy strings and paste them to the target profile where will me merged result.
6. Results we get
We have to see discovered roads from 2 or more profiles we combined.
7. Back to play Load from profile where strings added and if you see desired result you can back to game but please bare in mind that recruitment agencies are not gonna work with this method so if you want to hire drivers you game will probably crash. To avoid it hire drivers before profiles modifications.

Map Combo Study 11.04.2025
After the latest map combo releases we have some new maps released and can be added to the setup but some maps are still tricky and I have not enough time to test combinations so probably it will take time and I guess those will be final map combinations for 1.56. No one like broken roads and CTDs so I keep latest combos below as a milestone for today.
As always I strongly recommend to start with beginner’s guide and do not ask same questions again and again in the comments and TG channel.
Before you start please always check if the guide you see latest and actual (check dates and videos availability). Please also follow rules and requirements – correct load order, DLCs compatibility and avoid extra mods that did not mentioned in the guide. In some cases you need to create new profile for stable work of maps especially if your old profile have pieces of deleted mods, garages, trucks etc.
Every single mod (not only map) can break the game and you will have a problems.

You can find on youtube and forums some combos with 100+ maps but here I’m standing for quality not quantity. Why you need millions maps you never visit if they work not stable together and take more time to setup than you will play the game?
Cities of Louisiana DLC
Upcoming Louisiana DLC for American Truck Simulator will bring us 11 new cities
Nordic Horizons DLC will come soon, after ETS2 1.57 release
We still have no release date of new DLC for ETS2 – Nordic Horizons, but we have good signals that the expansion will be released soon in 2025. Early trailer and gameplay preview from SCS usually means that the DLC is in final pre-release stage and since we never have open betas for chargeable content we get Nordic Horizon instantly. First time beta gameplay of new DLC was available for visitors of Poznań Game Arena in Poznań, in Poland.
It is most likely will be released after the release of 1.57 version of the game.
It will be probably challenge for map mod community – they have to adapt to new DLC or even merge with their content if the new area with collide with existing mod structure (e.g Promods). The mods locked on the game version can also loose compatibility but it usually resolvable faster than maps rebuilds or merges.
We are waiting for new big DLC of expanded new roads in Nordic Countries – Sweden, Norway and Finland and also waiting for Scandinavia rebuild which will be good update for this DLC.
