On new version for both ATS and ETS2 1.59 it was added numerous secret roads. In Europe it is Benelux rework and Volvo Experience Center. for America – new Illinois DLC. I just updated ETS2 guide adding 4 new roads in Luxembourg, Netherlands and Sweden (see below video) but for ATS it would be bigger guide since the total count of hidden roads now more than 267 and the journey in Illinois is in progress so probably the count will be bigger. So American guide will take time and I skipped about 18 Route 66 paths for now to provide more consistent list.
The reason I mostly skip mid-tier guide videos comes down to how YouTube ranks and promotes content. Older videos usually appear first, while guide-style videos below them tend to have very poor discoverability and low view counts. I don’t really want to spend dozens of hours making a guide that ends up with 1000 views. (ATS version guide currently has around 1.4K views) The same issue affects 100% discovery guides and map combo content. I know there’s interest from my audience, but without YouTube helping push this type of content, it quickly gets buried.

I’ve been covering hidden secret roads in both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 since 2022, when the feature was first introduced in ETS2 and ATS 1.44. For now, though, I’ll likely slow down these uploads a bit and let others continue expanding the coverage.

Since the last update, both ATS and ETS2 1.59 and the Benelux rework for ETS2 have been released, alongside the Illinois DLC for American Truck Simulator. ATS 1.58 already added numerous new secret roads, and I had been considering updating the America guide after finding around 18 additional hidden roads, bringing the total to roughly 263 (though I may remove some older unmarked ones). With Illinois now released, I’m sure there are even more hidden roads waiting to be discovered, so the guide will continue growing as I explore the new map.

Since the last update, ATS 1.58 has added numerous new secret roads, and I’ve been thinking about updating the guide for America — I found about 18 new hidden roads, bringing the total to around 263 (though I may remove some of the older unmarked ones). However, we’re very close to the new Illinois DLC, and I’m sure it will add even more roads. As I explore it, the guide will grow significantly.
The reason I mostly skip mid-tier videos is how YouTube ranks and promotes content — older videos come first, and guide-style videos below that have very poor discoverability and low view counts. I don’t want to invest a lot of time into a guide that ends up with 900 views. (The ETS2 guide has 1.7K views, while the ATS one is still at 970.) The same goes for 100% discovery guides and map combos. I know my audience is interested in this kind of content, but without YouTube’s help in promoting it, it just keeps getting buried.

Since the last update we have numerous new secret roads in ATS 1 .58 I was thinking about updating the guide for America – I found already 18 new hidden roads and still in progress (mostly checking the correctness of them than discovery). But I believe soon we will see also new Illinois DLC so can expect new secrets on that new state. Unfortunately youtube rank and promote older videos first and below guides have a very bad discoverability and low views. So I don’t want to spent a lot of time for guide with 700 views.

Map Combo Study 03.03.2026
On the game version 1.58 I started later with map combo setups and while we are good in Europe, American combination will be probably release later this week. As I mentioned earlier I’m not rushing out a combo setup just to be first. I’m not interested in clickbait or quick tricks to gain views. Instead, I will release a combination setup that I personally enjoy and would actually use myself — even if that means it comes out later.
There are already well-established rules and best practices that help avoid conflicts and common mistakes I’ve covered in Beginner’s Guide, which I strongly recommend watching before building or updating your map combo. It will save you time, prevent recurring issues, and help you create a stable and enjoyable setup from the start.

[February 2026] No more 99.99% on Promods 2.81 (1.58)
Quick reminder: for a long time I’m trying to discover Promods for 100% but unfortunately peak score I had is 99.99% and after each map mod update and new SCS expansions, these numbers are decreasing. For instance – I had 99.99% on Promods 2.77 but when Promods 2.80 for ETS 2 1.57 released I got only 88.70%. 2.80 was a big update and brought integration with Nordic Horizon DLC and Scandinavia refresh and new content to the mod. I haven’t combined it with discovered NH DLC areas from different profile (which is 100%).
And after release of 1.58 version (and Promods 2.81) my progress is on 87.86%, so I’m gonna merge it with main vanilla profile and maybe will share it with my Patreon subscribers. And will hit the road of new undiscovered roads. Who know how much time it will take to reach again at least 99.99%. I’m sure you can do it faster.
So below you can grab my progress strings for 2.77 and get those 99.99% and wait for bigger numbers or discover those 12% on your side in Promods 2.81 (or maybe you will reach 100%).

This guide is little outdated if you switched to 1.58, where there are extra roads added but it is still actual and can be used to start with kind of 96%. And for 1.57 with Pelican State (Louisiana) here is whole 100% profile and source file.
Obviously you need all map DLC and as always I would like to remind you to back up before doing anything with your profiles.

[Guide] ETS2 1.57 and 1.58 – 100% Explored map with all DLC (with Nordic Horizons)
After the release of ETS2 1.58 my guide is still actual so you will get 100% explored road in 1.58 as well as in ETS2 1.57. In below video I’m sharing the procedure how to do it on your side as well as tools and files. Text file with discovered items and fresh profile with opened map. Please note that these files are actual for current state of the game in February 2026 on ETS2 1.58 and can be partially will work on later versions but always check if the new update available for this topic.

Map Combo Study 02.06.2025 (Final for 1.57)
Open Beta 1.58 for both games is available now and I will not update map combo setups for 1.57 unless minor fixes of links will come. With official news about game version 1.58 starting to surface, it’s safe to assume that an open beta is just around the corner. 1.58 is major update so we have to give the modding community some time to adapt to the new features and technical changes and release new vesions of their maps.
Until that happens, we still have large and stable map combos available for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Big for US and Giga for Europe.
