American Truck Simulator: 1.58 Released
After only two weeks of start of open beta the final release of ATS 1.58 is here. This is really major release and for America it is also a new map content – the first stage of Route 66 Rework.

Route 66 Secret Roads – Arizona Grand Canyon – ATS 1.58

New ATS secret roads and Route 66 Rework
As I mentioned before after release of open beta for 1.58 we have about 4% of undiscovered roads – on my side it was 96,29% opened just after the update. It is the result of massive Rout 66 Rework and other map enhancements. But SCS not only did this beautiful rework but also added new easter eggs and hidden roads, so count of markable but secret roads is growing. below you can see couple videos with hidden paths in Arizona and Nevada.

Map Combo Study 02.06.2025 (Final for 1.57)
Open Beta 1.58 for both games is available now and I will not update map combo setups for 1.57 unless minor fixes of links will come. With official news about game version 1.58 starting to surface, it’s safe to assume that an open beta is just around the corner. 1.58 is major update so we have to give the modding community some time to adapt to the new features and technical changes and release new vesions of their maps.
Until that happens, we still have large and stable map combos available for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Big for US and Giga for Europe.
There are already well-established rules and best practices that help avoid conflicts and common mistakes I’ve covered in Beginner’s Guide, which I strongly recommend watching before building or updating your map combo. It will save you time, prevent recurring issues, and help you create a stable and enjoyable setup from the start.

100% discovered study (last on 1.57) 02.01.2026
We finally have full 100% discovered maps for ATS and ETS2 within version 1.57, but new challenges ahead. New games version is around the corner and at least in US we have massive map rework with Route 66 project. In Europe we will probably will not see Benelux Rework changes very soon. So now we have some time to hold and enjoy games.

I do these discovery since 2017 and I discover whole map almost on every game versions including all expansions and reworks.
Cruising Louisiana event is close to reach its goal
With the new DLC for American Truck Simulator we get World of Trucks event and this time it’s #CruisingLouisiana – typical but still attractive since we can discover new state and get another trophy on ours Wotr page.
Currently 122,979,167 / 125,000,000 miles so it is very close to the community goal.
Rules and rewards are pretty equal as for other “Cruising” events so if if you played it once just apply to the new names or read details in SCS Blog.
[Guide] ETS2 1.57 – 100% Explored map with all DLC (with Nordic Horizons)
I explored 100% of ETS2 1.57 finally and in the video I’m sharing the guide how to do it on your side as well as tools and files. Text file with discovered items and fresh profile with opened map. Please note that these files are actual for current state of the game in February 2026 on ETS2 1.57 and can be partially will work on later versions but always check if the new update available for this topic.
Obviously you need all map DLC and as always I would like to remind you to back up before doing anything with your profiles.

American Truck Simulator: 1.58 Open Beta
As I said last week we will see open beta for new version very soon and today, ATS started first. Please note that this not minor update bug big changes in the game including UI and UX and physics. Also it is rolling out the first stage of Route 66 Rework and we can see changes in Arizona and New Mexico.

Hidden Roads Study (Final in 1.57) – January, 27 2025
Looks like all hidden roads in ATS and ETS2 found at least for now on game version 1.57, so this digest will be probably appear later this year when I have something to tease and discover.

On the last digest I mentioned that Hidden Roads Study series will likely be put on hold or possibly discontinued and count of views of latest videos convince me to freeze it. Nevertheless below you can find the most comprehensive hidden roads guide for ATS and ETS2 for this moment. I’m not gonna transform to shorts, clickbait and fake speculations just for views or extra couple bucks.
I’m sharing found hidden secret roads in both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 periodically since 2022 when this feature been released on ETS2 and ATS 1.44. It is probably won’t help you with exact secrets locations but you can check if you missed any.

ATS & ETS2 Update 1.58: A Major UI & UX Refresh
Update 1.58 marks one of the most significant UI and UX overhauls in American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 to date. Touching nearly every screen players interact with daily, this update modernizes core systems while laying a more flexible foundation for future features and platforms.
The redesign is driven by the games’ long-term growth. While some changes may require brief re-learning, the goal is a cleaner, more intuitive, and future-ready experience that scales with what’s coming next.
Key highlights include a redesigned tutorial system built around contextual hints, delivering guidance naturally during gameplay rather than through a rigid, linear flow. New players get help when it matters, while experienced drivers stay focused on the road.
The Route Advisor has been completely reworked into a customizable, widget-based HUD. Instead of a fixed panel, players can now tailor on-screen information to their driving style, from minimal layouts to data-rich setups.
The Pause Screen evolves into a new Quick Info hub, centralizing job details, truck status, controls, and local regulations. This keeps the driving HUD cleaner while ensuring all critical information is just a pause away.
Quality-of-life improvements also arrive across management screens, offering clearer driver skill tracking, better company info visibility, and refined usability without disrupting familiar layouts. Meanwhile, the truck and trailer configurators receive targeted usability upgrades, improving navigation, feedback, and controller support.
Overall, Update 1.58 is a foundational step forward — modernizing daily interactions while preparing ATS and ETS2 for the next generation of content. Community feedback during the Open Beta will play a key role in refining these changes further.

With official news about game version 1.58 starting to surface, it’s safe to assume that an open beta is just around the corner. As always, a new major update means it’s time to rethink our map setups and give the modding community some time to adapt to the new features and technical changes.
Until that happens, we still have large and stable map combos available for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Most upcoming updates to these combos will likely focus on polishing, compatibility fixes, and minor improvements, with the possibility of a few new maps being added.
At this stage, it’s not yet clear how version 1.58 will affect maps and mod management overall. However, for the current game version, there are already well-established rules and best practices that help avoid conflicts and common mistakes.
