Map Combo Study 12.29.2025
With the version 1.57 for ETS2 and ATS we got new content expansions in Europe and America and map combinations – especially in ETS2 – were in challenging mode. For ATS is more or less clear and latest Louisiana combo is working well. But in Europe until yesterday we had to build separate setups for combo with or without Nordic Horizons because the DLC collided with several major mods. Promods with new DLC integration is released and we have now some options to create combo with Promods 2.80 and other maps. So the assembly of Mega combo is now WIP on my side and I hope we will see New Year edition of map combo in last days of 2025. But if I will not finish it I still would recommend you to wait to the moment when all fixes and connections will be ready and until that use below guides.

As always I strongly recommend to start with beginner’s guide and do not ask same questions again and again in the comments and TG channel.
Before you start please always check if the guide you see latest and actual (check dates and videos availability). Please also follow rules and requirements – correct load order, DLCs compatibility and avoid extra mods that did not mentioned in the guide. In some cases you need to create new profile for stable work of maps especially if your old profile have pieces of deleted mods, garages, trucks etc.
Every single mod (not only map) can break the game and you will have a problems. I do not support stolen or pirated content so if you use it – Trucksim isn’t your place.

Hidden Roads Study – December, 28 2025
As you know I’m sharing found hidden secret roads in both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 periodically. While ATS hidden roads guide has been updated with 245 roads, in ETS2 1.57 we have a lot of new roads in refreshed Scandinavia and Nordic Horizon DLC, and I’m still discovering them. I hope I will update the guide in the beginning of 2026 but it can take more time.

Guide How to Download and Setup Promods 2.80
New Promods 2.80 is major release so it contains not only compatibility but also integration with new map DLC Nordic Horizons and refreshed Scandinavia. You can enjoy new version on the latest ETS2 1.57 but now all map DLC are required. In the guide below as always you will find step by step instruction, but please watch carefully and don’t ask about archives on the Youtube.

Map Combos for SCS trucking games are not an easy for newcomers. So you can find lot of ready setups for actual version, including here on Trucksim, but before start better to avoid obvious mistakes. In this guide I’m explaining how to build map combo for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) or American Truck Simulator (ATS), from how to download and combine maps, to tricks how to avoid crashes. I will cover the basics for beginners. Guide made in 2024 but is still actual in January 2026 on game versions 1.57 and latest DLCs

100% discovered study 12.27.2025
It is so many map related news in our favorite truck simulator games, so on my side most previous guides and files are currently outdated. But I have some progress – ATS on 1.57 with new Louisiana DLC is almost done and the guide will be released in 2025, but in Europe I have only 92.75% with Nordic Horizons and Scandinavia refresh. So European update will take time and will be released in 2026. I concentrated on finding secret roads as well so while in US it is all shown in video, for Nordic Europe I found dozen of roads and discovery is still goes on.
If you’re still on 1.56 below you can find guides for both games. They will work on newer versions but undiscovered areas will remain grey.

Since 2017 I discover whole map almost on every game versions including all expansions and reworks. Some map updates take a lot of time but some is pretty small and can be discovered in couple days. Christmas Mega Map Combo for ETS2 1.57 – Tutorial – December, 22 2025
On the current version ETS2 1.57 we can combine map mods with or without Nordic Horizons DLC since Promods overlaps new expansion and I hold 2 setups – Mega Combo and Nordic Combo. Horizonless combo is good for them who still did not purchased latest SCS DLC and for fans of Promods (and its numerous add-ons).
This setup includes Promods, Roextended, Rusmap, EAA, Eurafrica, Poland Rebuilding, Grand Utopia and other maps. 45 maps, 93 files, RCs, fixes. As always please follow the instructions in video and note that combo designed to version 1.57 and requires all map DLCs (Nordic Horizons is optional and will not be available in this particular setup). Paid mods are optional.

Christmas 2025 World of Trucks Event
Traditionally in December we get a new event from SCS Software and as last couple years we will do deliveries to Winterland – fictional country with frosty roads, snowing and magic locations. #WovenWondersOfWinterland in 2025 getting a massive update – now in mystical area we have AI traffic so hauls will not look like we are the only truck in this area.

Map Combo Study 12.08.2025
With the version 1.57 for ETS2 and ATS we got new content expansions in Europe and America and in both games and not all mods are properly merged with them. So while you can update some mods and just go to the road, bigger setups may not be so easy especially when we talk about combined map mods. So the maximal and stable map combos are around the corner but I would recommend to stay on vanilla (base game+DLC) or roll back to 1.56 to run mega setups. Obviously on 1.56 you can’t enjoy Nordic Horizons or Louisiana but it is still a solution for max coverage.
Setups for 1.57 (especially European) are tricky and I’m on wip stage but it is Holidays period and I have not enough time to test combos so it takes time. No one like broken roads and CTDs so below you will find combos that works on 1.57 for ETS2 and 1.56 for ATS, and both setups doesn’t require latest map DLC (NH, Louisiana).
