Map exploration takes a lot of time, and unfortunately my free time is quite limited these days. While some dedicated players have already discovered every corner of the latest American Truck Simulator DLC, I’m currently sitting at around 98% completion and still enjoying Illinois, which has quickly become one of my favorite ATS map expansions to date. Because of that, the next ATS 100% Discovery digest will most likely arrive with version 1.60 or later.
On the Euro Truck Simulator 2 side, however, the situation is much better. We have reached 100% map discovery across all of Europe, including the recently reworked Benelux region, which looks absolutely fantastic.
Speaking of map discovery, I should also mention ProMods roads. After a long journey, the entire map has finally been fully explored. I’ve included a video below. It’s more of a podcast-style discussion than a traditional guide, but I know there are plenty of fellow map exploration enthusiasts who will enjoy it.

Hidden Roads Study – June, 2 2026
On new version for both ATS and ETS2 1.59 it was added numerous secret roads. In Europe it is Benelux rework and Volvo Experience Center. for America – new Illinois DLC. I just updated ETS2 guide adding 4 new roads in Luxembourg, Netherlands and Sweden (see below video) but for ATS it would be bigger guide since the total count of hidden roads now more than 267 and the journey in Illinois is in progress so probably the count will be bigger. So American guide will take time and I skipped about 18 Route 66 paths for now to provide more consistent list.
The reason I mostly skip mid-tier guide videos comes down to how YouTube ranks and promotes content. Older videos usually appear first, while guide-style videos below them tend to have very poor discoverability and low view counts. I don’t really want to spend dozens of hours making a guide that ends up with 1000 views. (ATS version guide currently has around 1.4K views) The same issue affects 100% discovery guides and map combo content. I know there’s interest from my audience, but without YouTube helping push this type of content, it quickly gets buried.

New version 1.59 for both games brought us map content – new roads to discover – Benelux Rework in Europe and Illinois DLC in America. European update is ready today and below you will find 100% video but for American DLC I just started my journey. Since I’m also discovering other map mods like Eurafrica and Promods for ETS2, not sure when Prarie State will be discovered.

With Illinois now released, I’m sure there are even more hidden roads waiting to be discovered, so the guide will continue growing as I explore the new map.

Since the last update, ATS 1.58 has added numerous new secret roads, and I’ve been thinking about updating the guide for America — I found about 18 new hidden roads, bringing the total to around 263 (though I may remove some of the older unmarked ones). However, we’re very close to the new Illinois DLC, and I’m sure it will add even more roads. As I explore it, the guide will grow significantly.

Exploring Promods 2.81
I started re-exploring Promods foe ETS2 1.58 from Nordic regions which were merged after Nordic Horizons DLC and Scandinavia refresh. Can’t say it is new for me since I’ve travelled on those areas before even in TruckersMP. But still enjoy it and share part of my experience with my subscribers.
Big Map Combinations Beginners Guide and Secrets for ATS & ETS2 1.58 (2026)
Map Combos for SCS trucking games are not an easy for newcomers. So you can find lot of ready setups for actual version, including here on Trucksim, but before start better to avoid obvious mistakes. Giga Map Combo for ETS2 1.58 – Tutorial – March, 31 – 2026
I’ve combined 80 maps to make amazing long hauls in final ETS2 1.58 Giga map combo. Have to remind you that this setup is not for everyone – you probably will not have enough time behind the wheel to discover all small corners of the map. And if you just jumped in trucking simulators world don’t ignore Beginner’s Guide which can answer a lot of important questions.

[April 2026] 98% on Promods 2.81 (1.58)
Quick reminder: for a long time I’m trying to discover Promods for 100% but unfortunately peak score I had is 99.99% and after each map mod update and new SCS expansions, these numbers are decreasing. For instance – I had 99.99% on Promods 2.77 but when Promods 2.80 for ETS 2 1.57 released I got only 88.70%. 2.80 was a big update and brought integration with Nordic Horizon DLC and Scandinavia refresh and new content to the mod.
I combined it with discovered NH DLC areas from different profile (which is 100%) and got 97.53%. After that I’ve hit the road on Promods areas which became undiscovered. So now it is roughly 98% and the journey is in progress. But very soon with ETS2 1.59 we will probably get the new Promods 2.82 and if Benelux rework will be the part of this update we have to wait for merge of this European region to Promods.

Latest Promods 2.81 for ETS2 1.58 is currently requiring all map DLC. In the guide below as always you will find step by step instruction, but please watch carefully and don’t ask about archives on the Youtube.
