Upcoming Louisiana DLC for American Truck Simulator will bring us 11 new cities

For sure, the most awaited content we are waiting with the release of Euro Truck Simulator 1.57 is Nordic Horizon DLC which most probably will be released with new game version. But SCS announced some other perks of the update.
Dynamic Cargo Loading & Unloading
The dynamic loading and unloading feature is coming to ETS2 with the upcoming 1.57 update. First introduced this feature for American Truck Simulator, and now it will be brought in Europe as well. It will debut at selected custom and prefab depots in the upcoming Nordic Horizons DLC, and will also be added to all suitable prefab depots across the base map and map DLCs, plus one custom depot in Greece – so everyone can experience it!
Reworked Players Company Logos and Paintjobs
A part of SCS’s vehicles team has been reworking the selectable company logos that you can choose when first creating your driver profile, along with the matching company paint jobs available for your truck and trailer.
The idea basically came from shared vision of reworking the UI and various elements that have been updating over the last few patches. It will created more modern company logos, which will be available in both ATS and ETS2, as well as matching company paintjobs for trucks and trailers, which are coming to Euro Truck Simulator 2 in this update.
Nordic Horizons DLC will come soon, after ETS2 1.57 release
We still have no release date of new DLC for ETS2 – Nordic Horizons, but we have good signals that the expansion will be released soon in 2025. Early trailer and gameplay preview from SCS usually means that the DLC is in final pre-release stage and since we never have open betas for chargeable content we get Nordic Horizon instantly. First time beta gameplay of new DLC was available for visitors of Poznań Game Arena in Poznań, in Poland.
It is most likely will be released after the release of 1.57 version of the game.
It will be probably challenge for map mod community – they have to adapt to new DLC or even merge with their content if the new area with collide with existing mod structure (e.g Promods). The mods locked on the game version can also loose compatibility but it usually resolvable faster than maps rebuilds or merges.
We are waiting for new big DLC of expanded new roads in Nordic Countries – Sweden, Norway and Finland and also waiting for Scandinavia rebuild which will be good update for this DLC.

Canada for ATS revealed
These days SCS Software bring surprises to their community almost every day. We had unpredictable Ireland announcement yesterday and now we see British Columbia DLC official confirmation.
I’m planning to make a podcast about latest announces and teasers but you already can read details of Canada’s first DLC on SCS blog.
Ireland DLC announced
After the teaser and confirmation of UK rework SCS make another announcement of new DLC The Isle of Ireland which will probably will be released after Nordic Horizon and Iceland, in 2027 or later.
Despite of this is a very early announcement we have some pictures and video trailer on Youtube.
100% discovered study 10.23.2025
My golden rule is Every Road Must Be Traveled, Map Have To Be Discovered. So since 2017 I do it almost on every game update including all expansions and reworks. This obsession has driven me through countless game updates, expansions, and complete map reworks across both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2. Some map updates take a lot of time but some is pretty small and can be discovered in couple days. When you switch to another profile and don’t want to start map discovery from the scratch it is possible to transfer opened road to another profile. So I do it sometimes with newer profiles for both games (ETS2 and ATS) and also periodically share my progress in Youtube guides
