Hidden Roads Study – November, 4 2026

Since 1.62 is here we have to do a recap what’s going on with hidden (or secret) roads in ATS and ETS2.
European guide was not updated since June 2026 and it is still actual until Iceland DLC we expect on November 10. But I’ve updated American guide added South Dakota as well as fixed some missed roads. Also updated flag of Utah in the video.
Please note that Proximity Exploration feature released in 1.61 can help you to find most of the secret roads without any guides. You can turn on or off the feature but anyway it is the biggest change in the game on this topic since 2022, when hidden roads came as markable objects in version 1.44. For sure some roads are real secret and even with this feature you need to go around all roads to find the location of unmarked path. So for some time I will continue to update my guides.
The next big update will be I after Iceland in ETS2 and British Columbia in ATS.
If I find any new roads or you suggest one I will not update it instantly since I skip mid-tier guide videos because of low views on YouTube. The same issue affects 100% discovery guides and map combo content. I know there’s interest from my audience, but without YouTube helping push this type of content, it quickly gets buried.

You can always check the complete list of cities with hidden paths here: https://trucksim.top/y9t6. It probably won’t reveal the exact secret road locations, but it can help you figure out if you missed any areas.

ETS2 (updated 06.01.2026, actual on 1.62 with all map DLCs before Iceland, 114 roads so far)

ATS (updated 11.02.2026, actual on 1.62 with South Dakota DLC, 290 roads so far)

Collection of 10 found roads in South Dakota with locations footages.

Iceland DLC for ETS2 is coming in about 2 weeks

  • The Iceland DLC launches on November 10, 2026, announced alongside a new trailer in SCS’s Steam announcement. That’s about two weeks from now and right after 1.62 hits stable.
  • The map has 14 cities and settlements, including Reykjavík and Akureyri, connected by the Ring Road.
  • Landmarks include Jökulsárlón, Goðafoss, Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss, Víkurfjara, Geysir and Þingvellir.
  • Some routes cross narrow single-lane bridges where you have to give way to oncoming traffic.
  • Freight goes to custom-made farms, quarries and a silica factory in Húsavík.
  • The Northern Lights can appear under the right conditions, and daylight hours follow Iceland’s real-world timing.

SCS Software has confirmed that the Iceland DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 launches on November 10, 2026, just after the 1.62 update. After more than a year of previews, here’s the full picture.

What’s in the box: 14 cities and settlements, including Reykjavík and Akureyri, linked by the Ring Road. Expect famous stops like Jökulsárlón, Goðafoss, Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss, Geysir and Þingvellir, plus narrow single-lane bridges where you yield to oncoming traffic.

New work: custom farms, quarries and a silica factory in Húsavík, along with Keflavík’s fishing-town depots.

Atmosphere: the Northern Lights can show up in the sky, and daylight hours follow the real Icelandic calendar.

How we got here: announced June 2025, followed by previews of churches, the Ring Road, coastline, Keflavík, Akureyri, depots, fjords, scenic viewpoints and a first gameplay drive from Seyðisfjörður to Goðafoss.

Leaked Map:

Cities visible in the photo

  • West and Westfjords: Ísafjörður, Patreksfjörður, Hólmavík, Ólafsvík, Borgarnes
  • Southwest: Keflavík, Reykjavík, Selfoss
  • North: Blönduós, Akureyri, Húsavík, Þórshöfn
  • East and southeast: Egilsstaðir, Höfn

What else the map shows

  • Route 1 (the Ring Road) runs around the whole island. The map also has secondary roads such as 30 to 41 in the southwest, 54 to 62 in the west and Westfjords, 85 in the northeast, and 92 and 93 in the east.
  • Anchor icons mark ports or ferry points near Patreksfjörður, Ólafsvík and the south coast near Selfoss.
  • Camera icons are scattered along the coast and the Ring Road. Together with the “Tourist Jobs” tab at the bottom, they look like sightseeing and viewpoint spots.
  • There are fuel stations and service points in nearly every town, plus a few stops along the quieter southeast stretch toward Höfn.
  • The Westfjords are a maze of fjord roads, which matches the “fjords define how roads are built” angle from SCS’s fjords preview.
  • The Highlands in the center are empty, so the map sticks to the coastal and Ring Road network.

Soul of Anatolia DLC – Türkiye will come to ETS2

The mystery is over. After teasing us last week with a cryptic post called “Bridge Between Communities” — featuring a single shot of the iconic 1915 Çanakkale Bridge — SCS Software has officially pulled back the curtain today. The next map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is called Soul of Anatolia, and it’s taking us deep into Türkiye.

What Is Soul of Anatolia?

Soul of Anatolia is an upcoming paid DLC for ETS2 that covers Anatolia — the vast Asian heartland of Türkiye that has never been in the game before. SCS describes it as a land of stunning contrasts: sunlit coasts, towering mountains, open plains, olive groves, and the glittering Mediterranean. The expansion runs from Istanbul all the way east to Aksaray.

The confirmed locations and highlights from the reveal include:

  • 1915 Çanakkale Bridge — the world’s longest suspension bridge, crossing the Dardanelles strait, serving as your gateway into Anatolia
  • Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and Osmangazi Bridge — two more engineering landmarks you’ll cross on your routes
  • Ankara — the capital city, positioned as a central logistics hub of the expansion
  • Tuz Gölü — the massive salt lake in central Anatolia
  • Antalya and Alanya — major Mediterranean tourist cities with hotel cargo delivery routes
  • Challenging coastal roads along both the northern and southern shores, plus steep mountain routes with tight turns and big views

The Steam page is already live, and you can wishlist it now at store.steampowered.com/app/4400930.

Why This Is a Big Deal

Türkiye is already partially in ETS2 — the Road to the Black Sea DLC (2019) added the European side of the country: Edirne, Istanbul with Bosphorus views, and the Kapikule border crossing. Istanbul is still one of the largest and most detailed cities in the game. But everything beyond the Bosphorus — Ankara, Izmir, the entire coastline, Central Anatolia — has been missing for over six years.

Soul of Anatolia fills that gap, and then some. More importantly, this DLC marks a historic first: ETS2 stepping outside of Europe and into Asia. That’s not just a geographical expansion — it’s a signal of where the game can go next. The Caucasus, the Middle East, Central Asia — none of that is confirmed, but it’s now a realistic conversation for the first time.

What About the Mods?

While the official DLC has been in the community’s wishlist for years, modders never waited around. The most well-known community effort is the Roextended updated up to ETS2 1.58.

There’s also Road to Heavy: Türkiye, a more niche mod focused on heavy haulage simulation across Turkish highways.

Worth noting: once Soul of Anatolia releases officially, these mods will almost certainly become incompatible. They’re great for right now, but treat them as a placeholder — the real thing is coming.

When Can We Expect It?

SCS has been clear that Soul of Anatolia is still early in development — everything shown is work-in-progress and subject to change. There’s no release date, and given SCS’s typical pace of roughly one major map DLC per year, with Iceland and Ireland both still in the queue, a realistic window is no earlier than 2028, with 2029 being equally possible.

That wait will be long, but the announcement itself is the milestone. Soul of Anatolia is happening, it’s confirmed, and the Steam page is live. Add it to your wishlist and settle in.
