All My Eurotruck Map Discovery Story
I decided to create a podcast-style episode about Euro Truck Simulator 2, focusing on its map expansions and my personal journey through the years and various versions of the game. Since version 1.55, one of the most challenging ETS2 achievements – Pathfinder – has undergone a significant change. Previously, obtaining this achievement required discovering 100% of the map, which was an incredibly demanding task. Now, you only need to drive 40,000 kilometers, which is much more achievable if you’re an active hauler. I actually earned this achievement back on March 7th, 2017, right after the Vive La France DLC release. This was during version 1.26, when the European map was considerably smaller than it is today.

If this video get at least couple thousand views (not sure it is possible) I will do the same for my American journey which is more saturated with DLCs.
[Retro Gaming] 12 Hours trip on ETS2 1.34 in 2019 on Vintage Map Combo
This is almost real time route made in March 2019 on map combo of those times. It was recorded on ETS2 1.34 and uploaded on my old channel by 9 parts with total time of 12 hours and 44 minutes. Unfortunately youtube allows now maximum 12 hours videos so I had to cut and timelapse a little, I’m sure it is still gigantic and no one watch it fully. It is very difficult or even impossible to reproduce this route unless you have all these old mods and have not updated ETS2 from version 1.34.
Interesting facts about this route – the map combo shown in the video was designed for long hauls – from map were removed ferries and train connections. This map combo was without Promods and some maps was modified. I did not assemble it but reproduced from famous Wombat Trucker. I had no steering wheel and played with game controller. BTW I kept original sound of the game.
Earlier I already experiment with very long video, it was on actual game version (ETS2 1.49) on actual combo. Now it’s outdated a little (about 1 year) but still breathtaking:)
Mario Map tested on 1.47
Stolen and very old maps combined in early ears of ETS by Mario Bogdanov and was famous on garbage websites and forums. On the times when map combos were rare and very complicated to do. I found compatible version of the mod and tried it modern ETS2 1.47 and tried to see if is it something interesting in 2023. Spoiler alert: No. As I found on the internet initial bundles by Mario were created in ETS1 and for ETS2 is about version 1.15. Maybe early. I’m not distributing doubtful content so you have to find links to the mod somewhere else.
