Nordic Horizons DLC Official Trailer

Along with the announcement for truck simulators release on consoles, SCS also revealed Official trailer for upcoming ETS2 expansion Nordic Horizons DLC. The trailer is in traditional dramatic style with no surprises. We still have no evidence that the expansion will be released in 2025 and so early trailer revealed is linked mostly to Gamescom where it was presented.
According to #SCS, development of this DLC took more than two years and 2 map development teams. And in terms of area it might be bigger that two latest DLC (Greece and West Balkans) together. For sure Nordic roads and lands not so saturated as Balkan small countries or Greece but we hope it will bring us amazing landscape mapping and long haul experience.
Currently new trailer is not available on Youtube but you can see it on social medias, e.g. Facebook

In video below I collected available footages and pics of #NordicHorizons WIP before the trailer.

SCS Software made an announcement during yesterday’s Future Games Show, the digital showcase that runs ahead of Gamescom and highlights upcoming gaming projects. The developer premiered an exclusive teaser confirming the console versions of their popular trucking simulators.

The announcement officially confirmed that both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator will be making their way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This represents a significant expansion for the franchise, which has primarily been available on PC platforms.

Console players will gain access to the realistic trucking physics and open-world gameplay that has made these simulators popular among PC users. The move to next-generation hardware should allow for enhanced performance and visual fidelity compared to previous console attempts in the trucking simulation genre.

Updates for ATS in 1.55 (Cascadia and Farmer DLC)

As part of the upcoming 1.55 update for American Truck Simulator it will be introduced a range of improvements and new customization options for the Freightliner Cascadia 2024. This includes new accessories, updated interior and exterior options, and more.

Several new accessories will be added to allow for personalization of Freightliner Cascadia. This includes a paintable airdam, a vertical exhaust system, chrome side mirrors and filter fins, and a paintable sunvisor for the sleeper variant.
Inside the cabin will be added a new black interior variant, while also updating the existing tan and grey versions. Drivers will also have the choice between a traditional gauge cluster on their dashboard or a modern digital dashboard layout. With these additions, each sleeper configuration now includes six unique interior variants, giving you more options for a cabin.
On the exterior improvements of the sleeper’s details. The 72″ sleeper side walls have been remodeled, particularly around the window area. Blind spot sensors have also received an update, allowing them to function correctly with both the traditional A-pillar sensors and the digital mirror displays. The camera arms have also been adjusted, with their marker lights now functioning solely as turn indicators, reflecting real-world behavior more accurately.

In the upcoming 1.55 update for American Truck Simulator, it will be a small free update to the Farm Machinery DLC that includes a new cargo – Windrower! If you’ve ever seen neat rows of cut hay or crops lined up across a field, this is the machine behind that magic. Windrowers are used to cut and gather crops like hay or grains into long, tidy rows called windrows. This process helps the crops dry faster and makes it easier for the next machines, like balers or harvesters, to come in and collect them.
They’re big, wide, and built for the fields, but when it’s time to move them, it takes a skilled trucker with a lowboy trailer to get the job done. It’ll come in two color variants, there’s a green variant that looks right at home on any farm, and a yellow one that proudly features the logo of OWL, one of in-game farming equipment brands.

American Truck Simulator as well as Euro Truck Simulator 2 is now closer to version 1.55 and we also expecting open beta for games soon and for sure brand new Iowa DLC.

South Dakota announced officially

0 commentsAmerican Truck SimulatorMapsNews1.552026ATSDLCMapnewsscsSouth DakotaTrucksimUSA

SCS Software excited to unveil next map expansion for American Truck Simulator, which will offer a blend of beautiful nature, vibrant cities, and the joy of the open road. Their teams are currently hard at work on South Dakota for American Truck Simulator

Welcome to the Mount Rushmore State! Nestled in the North Central Region of the United States, South Dakota offers a beautiful site for truckers to admire. The state is dominated by peaceful, wide-rolling plains – its eastern region belongs to the Prairie Plains, while the western part forms a portion of the Great Plains. This part of the landscape transitions from flat river valleys in the east to plateaus, buttes, and a canyon-scarred terrain in the west.

Most probably South Dakota will be released not earlier than 2026’s second part as of SCS schedule after Iowa (summer 2025), Illinois (end of 2025), Louisiana (spring 2026). The next logical DLC after SD will be either North Dakota or Minnesota. Or even Mississippi which is left on the South.
